Thank you for making this possible!

Featured

We humbly bow before everyone who made this festival come true.

While we as the initiators and central organizers prominently stand in the foreground, this festival is indeed the effort of very many people.

Without any incentive but to allow a group of artists a wonderful time you volunteered your time and energy to organize and do all the things we simply could not take care of and often did not even recognize. Your unpaid and sometimes spontaneous work alone made this festival possible.

You are like a whole horde of good fairies who granted us our wish.

We may have started it, but You made it happen!
Thank you.

Festival of Art as Research

From May the 7th until May the 14th the Festival of Art as Research (FAR) invites International artists to come to Ottersberg in the North of Germany to artistically explore the phenomenon of Translation.

The festival provides 20 artists with the opportunity to, within the framework of a three day research program, intensively explore the methods of artistic research and enables them to develop their artwork while working together in discourse with other artists.

An interdisciplinary Festival will take place to show the resulting works to the public.

On the weekend from the 11th until the 13th of May a wide audience will have the opportunity to, not only view the works of local, national and international artists, but also actively take part in the process of artistic research. Guests will be able to enjoy a varied program including exhibitions, dance, theatre, performances, music and interdisciplinary works.

Artists of all disciplines are hereby invited to apply to join the festival with an artistic research project on the topic of translation. Applications will be taken until April the 15th.
