FAR provides an opportunity for 20 artists to discover methods of artistic research and explore their own work in a discourse with other artists:
Three days of intense artistic work and research around the topic TRANSLATION.
A practical introduction to the field of art as research.
Exploration of methods and concepts of art-based research.
Development of existing work and investigation in cooperation with
international interdisciplinary artists.
FAR invites artists and spectators to experience a festival that includes presentations of all different artistic disciplines under the common theme of art as research:
Three days of public presentation of the work, focussing on creating modes of presentation
that include the spectator in the process of discovery.
An exciting transdisciplinary art festival with performances, exhibitions, concerts, combinations of all and more….
With this festival we invite artists to design the present cultural landscape. We see the festival as a platform for transdisciplinary art. You will have the chance to become part of an international network of artistic researchers. We are looking for artists who are curious to explore the process of discovery in their work.
FAR invites all interested artists, researchers, artistic researchers, and whoever else is interested, to get together and discover the phenomenon of TRANSLATION in it’s wide range of manifestations:
How do we translate from the inside to the outside and the other way round? What gets lost on the way of translation and what emerges? How can we impart artistic knowledge?
